Charlotte native, Justin McDougal, began his tenure as the "Pride of Niner Nation" Marching Band Colorguard Director in 2015. Justin is a graduate of North Lincoln High School (class of 2008). 

Justin enjoys an active schedule as a clinician and adjudicator, assisting many high schools throughout North Carolina. He served as the Colorguard Director of the North Lincoln High School "Band of Knights" (2008-2016). Under his direction, the North Lincoln colorguard and winterguard programs flourished, enjoying much success including multiple medal-winning performances earning Bronze Medals at the 2009 and 2012 CIPA Championships, a Gold Medalist award in the Scholastic “A” class division at the 2014 CIPA Championships, an appearance as a WGI Regional Finalist in 2015, and a Silver Medalist at the 2016 CWEA Championships. Justin also served as the Colorguard Director of the Gardner Webb University "Marching Bulldogs" (2010), and as a member of the colorguard instructional staff at Limestone College (2014) and the East Carolina University "Marching Pirates" (2013-2014).

Justin has performed with the Etude Independent World Winterguard (2016-2017), and The Cast Independent Open Winterguard (2011-2012) during which the guard was a finalist in the open-class division at the WGI World Championships. In 2012, he also performed with the CorpsVets Drum & Bugle Corps based out of Atlanta, Georgia during which the CorpsVets were a finalist at the DCA World Championships. 

Aside from his active colorguard schedule, Justin is the Director of Payroll & Employee Services with job responsibilities including human resources and accounting for Solucion LLC based in Huntersville, NC.
