Colorguard Director (2015–2017)

Charlotte native, Justin McDougal, began his tenure as the “Pride of Niner Nation” Marching Band Colorguard Director in 2015. Justin is a graduate of North Lincoln High School (class of 2008).

Justin enjoys an active schedule as a clinician and adjudicator, assisting many high schools throughout North Carolina. He served as the Colorguard Director of the North Lincoln High School “Band of Knights” (2008–2016). Under his direction, the North Lincoln colorguard and winterguard programs flourished, enjoying much success including multiple medal-winning performances earning Bronze Medals at the 2009 and 2012 CIPA Championships, a Gold Medalist award in the Scholastic “A” class division at the 2014 CIPA Championships, an appearance as a WGI Regional Finalist in 2015, and a Silver Medalist at the 2016 CWEA Championships. Justin also served as the Colorguard Director of the Gardner Webb University “Marching Bulldogs” (2010), and as a member of the colorguard instructional staff at Limestone College (2014) and the East Carolina University “Marching Pirates” (2013–2014).

Justin has performed with the Etude Independent World Winterguard (2016–2017), and The Cast Independent Open Winterguard (2011–2012) during which the guard was a finalist in the open-class division at the WGI World Championships. In 2012, he also performed with the CorpsVets Drum & Bugle Corps based out of Atlanta, Georgia during which the CorpsVets were a finalist at the DCA World Championships.

Aside from his active colorguard schedule, Justin is the Director of Payroll & Employee Services with job responsibilities including human resources and accounting for Solucion LLC based in Huntersville, North Carolina.
