2017 Featured Clinician - Percussion
Andrew Rubano is currently on staff at Carolina Crown and maintains a Faculty Position as instructor and Tenor Technician. He began his career in Drum Corps with the Reading Buccaneers for 2 years and then marched Cadets, aging out in 2011. Following his age-out, Andrew worked for Cadets 2 managing the percussion section and arranging battery features from 2012-2015. During this time, he also taught and arranged for various high schools in the Central Jersey area while working with Cadets Winter Percussion, contributing to design nuances, choreography and writing exposed musical segments for the quadline.
Andrew completed his undergraduate degree at Rutgers University majoring in Music Education and Performance. At Rutgers, Andrew focused his studies on Orchestral and World Percussion. Following his graduation, he continued to work for the Rutgers Dance Department as a composer and accompanist. In this position he performed live for African, modern dance and yoga classes, collaborated sound for large scale repertoire projects and produced music. He has also served as the Orchestra Director for Lakewood Middle School in New Jersey. Currently, Andrew is the Graduate Assistant of Athletic Bands at the University of Delaware, where he will complete his Master’s Degree in music performance in spring of 2017.
